Sisters of Charity Outreach operates a great service for regional NSW residents who need to attend medical appointments and hospital in Sydney.

Chisholm Cottage is a recently renovated, four bedroom, affordable, shared accommodation house in Westmead [near Parramatta] which specifically offers short-term, comfortable accommodation for families, couples and individuals from regional NSW who are attending or accompanying loved ones to hospital stays or medical appointments in Sydney.

This valuable service, founded by the Catholic Women’s League of Parramatta, has operated for more than 20 years.  Current room rates are $60 per night for the twin or double room (max 2 guests) and $80 per night for either of the two family rooms (max 3 guests). Other guest facilities include a fully equipped kitchen for meal preparation, a dining and lounge area and a spacious outdoor garden.

For all bookings – 7 days a week – contact Sonia Fingleton, Accommodation Manager, Chisholm Cottage.

Thank you Sawtell Parishioners

Last weekend’s diocesan appeal for sick and retired priests raised $878.95 in our parish, a wonderful result. Thank you so much for your generosity.  Outstanding envelopes may be placed on any collection plate.

The violence present in our hearts, wounded by sin, is also reflected in the symptoms of sickness evident in the soil, in the water, in the air and in all forms of life.
